User Guide

Everything you need to build, edit, and export professional product catalogs.

Overview

Catalogzy is an AI-powered product catalog builder. You describe your brand, upload products, and the system generates a multi-page print-ready catalog in seconds — complete with themed layouts, product cards, features, and contact pages.

Chat to Build

Answer a few questions and AI generates your catalog blueprint.

Click to Edit

Click any text on the page to edit it inline — no separate forms.

Export PDF

Download a multi-page, print-ready PDF preserving the full design.

Getting Started

After signing in you land on the Dashboard. From here you can create new catalogs, open existing ones, and manage your account.

1

Visit the app and sign in with your Google account or email and password. Your session is persisted — you won't need to sign in again on the same device.

2

Open the Dashboard

The CATALOGS section shows all your generated catalogs as cards. Each card shows the catalog name, theme, product count, and last-updated time. Click any card to open the frame view.

3

Start your first catalog

Click New Generation (top-right of the dashboard) or BUILD in the sidebar to open the chat builder.

Building a Catalog

The builder is a step-by-step chat interface. Each step collects one piece of information and moves to the next automatically.

01

Catalog Name

Enter a name for this specific catalog.

02

Industry

Describe your business sector (e.g. Electronics, Furniture, Food & Beverage). This helps the AI tailor copy and layout choices.

03

Brief

Write a short paragraph about your brand — what you do, your values, your audience. This becomes the "About" text on the Contents page.

04

Products

Upload a CSV file containing your products. If skipped, the AI will generate sample products for you.

05

Generate

The AI will design the catalog, choose the best theme for your brand, and write the copy.

TIP

The AI generation takes about 20–30 seconds. You'll see a progress breakdown of the brand strategy, design system, and copy creation before viewing the final catalog.

Editing Content

All catalog text is editable directly on the page — no separate form or panel. Edits are collected and can be saved to the cloud from the toolbar.

1

Enter edit mode

Open a catalog from the dashboard. In the toolbar at the top, click the Edit button. The button turns blue and the status shows · Editing.

2

Click any text to edit

Editable fields show a dashed blue underline when edit mode is active. Click directly on any underlined text — brand name, tagline, product names, descriptions, feature titles, contact details — and type to edit.

3

Save your changes

When you finish making edits, click the Save button in the toolbar. It will show you how many changes are pending.

4

Exit edit mode

Click Done in the toolbar to leave edit mode. If you have unsaved changes, you'll be prompted to save or discard them. The dashed underlines disappear and the catalog returns to its preview state.

NOTE

Product names and descriptions edited here update the catalog display only. To change the underlying product data (SKU, specs, image) use the Products editor via the Products button in the toolbar.

Managing Products

Products are managed in the Products Editor, separate from the inline text editor. This is where you control the full product data set — names, SKUs, categories, specs, images, and order.

1

Open the Products Editor

From the catalog frame view, click Products in the top toolbar. This opens the editor page for that catalog.

2

Add a product

Click + Add in the toolbar (or the Add button at top-right of the editor). Fill in the product name, description, SKU, category, and optional specs. Upload an image with the image upload field. Click Save Product.

TIP

Products are laid out up to 6 per page in a 3-column grid. If a page has exactly 4 products, the layout automatically adjusts to a balanced 2x2 grid.

3

Edit a product

Click the edit icon on any product card in the editor to open its form pre-filled. Make changes and click Save Product.

4

Delete a product

Click the delete icon on the product card. You will be asked to confirm before the product is permanently removed.

5

Add product specs

In the product form, use the Specs section to add key–value pairs (e.g. Weight: 2kg, Material: Aluminium). Up to 2 specs are shown on each product card in the catalog.

Exporting to PDF

Catalogzy exports a multi-page A4 PDF that matches exactly what you see in the frame view — full design, fonts, colors, and images preserved.

1

Adjust zoom (optional)

Use the zoom slider in the toolbar to preview the catalog at different scales. Zoom does not affect the exported PDF — the PDF is always exported at high resolution.

2

Click Export PDF

Click the blue Export PDF button in the top-right. A progress indicator shows each page being captured (e.g. 2/6). The PDF downloads automatically when complete.

NOTE

Export captures the live page — make sure all product images have finished loading before exporting. If an image appears broken in the preview, it will be missing in the PDF.

Themes & Design

Catalogzy features 9 distinct design themes. A theme defines the complete visual language of your catalog — background colors, typography, spacing, decorative elements, and the treatment of headers, footers, and product cards.

Modern

Dark navy cover and contact pages, white interior pages, electric blue accent. Clean geometric shapes and card-based product layout. Best for tech, SaaS, and corporate brands.

Industrial

All-dark pages with a subtle grid background, amber accent, monospace typography. Row-based feature list. Best for manufacturing, engineering, and heavy industry.

Minimalist

Pure white throughout, thin hairline rules between cards, maximum whitespace. Typography-driven layout with no decorative elements. Best for luxury goods, fashion, and premium brands.

Heritage

Warm cream backgrounds, forest green, and terracotta. Ornamental borders, serif typography, artisan aesthetic. Best for food, craft goods, heritage, and agricultural brands.

NOTE

Themes are selected automatically by the AI at catalog-generation time based on your brand profile and cannot be changed after creation. To use a different theme, generate a new catalog.
